I'm Dave, and I've been running verv creations since 2011. I design, build, host, and look after websites for small businesses across Australia.
I fell in love with building websites as a teenager. I didn't have internet at home, so I'd walk down to my local library just to get online and teach myself how the web worked. That curiosity stuck. I went on to study multimedia at university, worked in IT support and systems administration, and eventually spent a couple of years doing web development in California before coming home to Australia and starting verv creations.
Fifteen years on, the work still comes down to the same thing it always has: helping people get online without the headaches.
How I work
You deal with one person. I handle the design, the build, the hosting, and the ongoing care. There's no account manager, no support queue, no being passed between departments. When you need something, you message me directly and I take care of it.
I explain everything in plain English. I won't push services you don't need, and I won't hide behind jargon. If something doesn't make sense for your business, I'll tell you.
I also have a simple rule about billing: I don't send an invoice for work I'm not happy with. And if you can show me you're not satisfied with something, you shouldn't have to pay for it until you are. Good work should speak for itself.
Who I work with
My clients range from sole traders and micro-businesses through to organisations with teams across the country. I've worked with holistic healers, design agencies, gaming publications, and national not-for-profits. The common thread is that they want a website that works well, looks good, and is genuinely looked after by someone who cares. See some of my work.
I tend to work at the accessible end of the budget spectrum. I believe good quality web design shouldn't cost a fortune. It just needs someone who knows what they're doing and is willing to guide you through it.
